Can anyone get on the Missouri State Archieves Soldiers Database War of 1812 to WWI.

Thanks. Thats the right man but the NPS site doesn't provide any enlistment/service information. The Mo. Archieves database site does. I used to be able to call up the Mo. database enlistment/service records but not now. Probably my computer but I'm not sure. Helping some woman in Illinois with information on 6th Ill. Cavalry |

FT, I was able to access the data base. Here's what I found on Charles Davis Co. K 7th MO Inf.:
Age : 38 rank: Pvt. Capt: Bourne Enlisted and mustered in: June 1, 61 @ Rolla, MO Deserted Sept. 21, 61. Removed and discharge dated Sept. 29, 1861 issued by order of the War Dept. dated Feb. 28, 1888 Jim

Sept. 29, 1861 deserted at Rolla; Nov. 23, 1861 enlisted at Shawneetown, Ill. as pvt., Co. E, 6th Ill. Cavalry Rgt. NFI; Aug. 8, 1876 applied for a pension (application #224012/certificate #194402); Feb, 28, 1881 desertion charge dropped and discharged from 7th Mo. Infantry Rgt. as of Sept. 29, 1861; no date his widow applied for a pension (application #790744/certificate #590636); 5 feet, 10 inches tall, black hair and blue eyes |

I go to the Missouri State Archives quite a bit recently. They still have alot of the original muster rools, unit diary's orders archived as well as on
micro fiche. Let me know what you need and I'll see if the archivists can pull original's for me. Some of them can't be copied due conservation
concerns but I can always note take and pass it on.
Next time it stalls on you. Back out to the Sec of State Main Page and go back in from there, that usually helps. Missouri Sec of State also maintains Union Provost Marshal Records searchable by County and Name, the descriptions are brief but the entire reports can be ordered for a minimal fee.
